The same people who love the Yankees are the same people who loved Tiger Woods
I never could cheer for Tiger Woods because he was so in your face about how good he was. The fist pumping, the pouting, the temper tantrums - how could you cheer for a guy like that? Yankees have the same aura - they and their fans feel that they are entitled to be in the World Series every year.
