I blame this squarely on the government
The government's answer to universities skyrocketing their tuition is to comply and increase the government backed loans to allow students to afford tuition at any cost. The government should have capped their increases in student loans, so that students wouldn't be able to get loans from schools that raised tuition too high compared to student loan caps. Many of the Millennials are now strapped with excessive debt, which means they won't buy houses or get married.
