This is a very underrated point regarding the offense. The defense this year was pretty bad at stopping opposing teams especially if they had an ounce of athleticism. The offense was worse but I've always felt that if you have a poor defense in practice there is a good chance your offense won't be challenged enough to really be ready to face "real" defenses. Anyway, I think it's a valid point that I'm sure experienced coaches do better at adjusting to.
