The new YouTube monetization rules are hardcore. They just killed all small
channels. The new requirement is 4,000 view hours in 12 months AND 1000 subscribers.
That’s an impossible task for most channels. That will probably kill most of the smaller guys out there posting DIY and repair help and product reviews. Those channels account for most of my YouTube views. I have no interest in the giant channels. Bummer.
I know people have said this before on previous changes, but it’s hard to imagine this not impacting YouTube in a severely negative way.
