You know what bothers me every now and then? As we all know, byu was snubbed by the Bowl Alliance games in '96. This was the precursor to the BCS. Had it been a few years later when the BCS started tossing the G-5 (as they are now called) a bone (simply to keep them quiet) and letting them play in a BCS game then BYU would have been in such a game and all the talk about BYU not ever getting to a BCS game would be non-existent. Never understood the Utes trash talking in regards to us never making a BCS game...because we essentially made it to the consolation "bcs game" when we went to the Cotton Bowl.
