the answer is “no” because eventually the skill level caps out and every game would end up being like Tic Tac Toe between grown ups (you have to have somebody blunder to avoid a tie).

Regardless of whether that’s true, I think something will exist that at least replicates the best part of sports (e.g., pushes us to get better, enables us to feel the “harmony” type feeling of teamwork to accomplish something that takes more than one person to do etc).
