I feel a little left out because I never get angry boardmails. I sometimes complain about the officials. Sometimes they do a crappy job, that's a fact. Even officials admit that.

I'm a player type, not an official type. I say let them play, don't be blowing the whistle on ever ticky-tack thing, it slows the game down and it's no fun watching a parade to the FT line. But as long as they call it fair on both ends there can't be too much complaint. Some players and maybe teams seem to get a better shake from the refs, for whatever reasons.

Fans of any team will complain that the officials hate them. It's part of the game. Doesn't change anything, just gives people something to gripe about and maybe blame their team losing or not playing well on. Probably everyone can agree that if a team goes out and plays their best they will be successful. If they don't play well, they are probably going to lose. Playing within the rules and not fouling is part of the game. You want to win, don't be fouling instead of playing solid defense.

I know how hard it is to officiate a game, I wouldn't want to do it. They could make a call on practically every possession. Many calls are judgement calls, others see them going the other way. Fans can complain, that's what they do but refs are going to call the game the way they see it. Coaches and players know they have to live with that. That's the game.
