none of the d-linemen mentioned in this thread are true freshmen straight out of high school.

Fauatea: played last year, missed a lot of time due to injuries. I'm not sure if he'll be a sophmore or eligible for a medical redshirt, like someone else in the thread suggested, but at least for now he'd be a sophmore in 2018.

Alden Tofa: missed all of last season due to injury. So he'll be a 2018 freshman eligibility-wise, but he was in the program last year.

Kirby: played at Oregon as a true freshman, redshirted last year due to the transfer. So he's been in the program last year too, believe that would make him a redshirt sophmore in 2018.

Keanu Saleapaga: believe he redshirted 2017 (BYU's website lists 2017 as a roster year for him) which would mean that he is a 2018 freshman as far as eligibility goes, but has been in the program for awhile.

Mounga: played 3 games last year (junior season), was injured. Not sure if he'd get a medical redshirt or not, but for now he's a senior in 2018.

Leiatua: played last year as a RS freshman. RM.

Tuifua: played last year as a true freshman. Not sure if he's going on a mission or will play this season.

So I imagine all or almost all of these guys will be there for spring camp and through the summer.
