I lean toward this
Nice pension from BYU plus nice salary for wife equals a good time financially to step down. I would guess the 100 plus thousand his wife is getting is more than he ever got as coach.

Pretty sure that nice pension isn't reality yet. Steve is just 54, and has only

54, without ever having made big money? No, probably not.

He's only 54, most people that age are a good decade away or more from retirement.

I totally respect everyone's thoughts (and they are good ones too).

The real question is he stepping down or retiring?

Well we can speculate until enough people repeat it and it becomes CB cannon

He's going to admin. He will be around. He's not retiring.

In our program, that's often quasi-retiring.

I love how so many people assume he has a pension and is going into the admin

To be fair...we have seen equally as little evidence he was forced out

Or maybe he has been there so long he is ready to move on

And just walk away from a chance to keep coaching his son? Not buying it.

He's not actually "going" anywhere with his wife being Mayor. He's gonna still
