Even though he is an awesome guy (gave my son some tix once when we ran into him at the rodeo or demolition derby in Heber), I have always been underwhelmed with the results since we stole him from Utah many years ago. I expected our DL to start to dominate and it never happened. Granted, he was coaching a 3-4 DL most of that time and his guys were taking up blocks as designed.

I am OK with it. Once of the big complaints about LaVell's staff towards the end was that they had become complacent and weren't hungry. 16 years is a long time to stay a position coach at one team.
