Not sure if Weber State does this too, but USU publishes exact requirements for
many of their scholarships.
See https://www.usu.edu/admissions/costs-and-aid/ and scroll down to the Freshment Academic Scholarships section and click on the links to the various scholarships to pop up a table of ACT and GPAs to qualify.
For example, to get a 4 year Presidential at USU, you need a 32 ACT and 4.0 GPA ranging to 35 ACT with 3.7+GPA. I think it is kindof nice to be able to point your kid to a firm target to let them know what they need to get to have a high degree of certainty to receive specific scholarships.
