That is eight 1st Team all conference players in 13 years and several other all-defense, all-freshman, and 2nd/3rd team honors. The whole "can't develop big men" narrative has been way overblown, if not completely wrong. I guess the expectation for "hits" on prospects is higher for some people.

Accounting for injuries, there are really only 3 guys that haven't performed at least to expectation (Miles, Neilson, Dastrup). And I count at least 7 or 8 guys who have outperformed their expectations (Plaisted, Young, Tavernari, Hartsock, Davies, Kaufusi, Worthington, and Childs). Mika played to his high expectations, and there were several other contributors who had zero expectations whatsoever.
