D.O.'s (osteopathic doctors) are not on the same line with dentists. They graduate from Osteopath School, which is
considered by the general medical community to be the equivalent of medical school.
They are fully licensed physicians in every state, they practice in most specialties including surgery.
MD's and DO's are equally educated and certified.
