The WCC only get around 200K/school from TV. Splitting that with 13 schools waters that down more. I keep hearing that BYU would help attendance at schools, but that has not shown in the WCC. The attendance for the other schools are same when BYU is playing or not.
BYU basketball doesn't bring additional value. TV contracts are based on football. GU is only bringing conference strength and reputation....something that BYU doesn't have outside of football.
If BYU was so valuable, then the WCC should be getting more than what the A10 gets ($450k/school) but the WCC with GU and BYU don't bring anthing close to the A10.
