that was a very cool experience you related

I will never forget one I had a few years ago. I live in a retirement community in Florida and my next-door neighbor is a Masters legacy member. I believe it was the first year of the tournament they were having difficulty selling tickets. If you bought tickets that first year you became a legacy member and as long as you were alive, you had the right to buy the same number of tickets that they were not transferable. My next-door neighbor and his wife had four tickets and his mother was still alive but did not use them and they invited my wife and I to go (the year Jordan had an eight to destroy his opportunity to win!!!!)

It was always organized so there would be three people teeing off to open the tournament. Gary player, Jack Nicholas and Arnold Palmer. The three came out of a little cabin and because my neighbor had been there every year for many years, he knew exactly where we needed to stand. Player and Nicholas walked by and then a cart drove to the front door of the cabin where they were waiting and Arnold Palmer got in the front seat to be taken to the tee box. As he came by where we were standing I had my fist out in a fist pump position and he took his and fist pumped me very lightly. He had the most calm and serene face I think I have ever seen. I will never forget that four days or that five seconds.
