Ian Broudie may be most famous for his Lightning Seeds project and the hits that came with it. But he has had a long career as a producer, all the way back to the first two Echo and the Bunnymen albums. Here are some others he has had a hand in.
1. The Frank and Walters: After All
This Cork band broke big with Ian Broudie's mix of this song, which I can only imagine has been sung at countless weddings. It got new life last month when, in the last episode of The Young Offenders, hostages on a hijacked bus are pacified by a rousing sing-a-long.
2. Sleeper: Delicious
Broudie produced this single off their debut. They just had a 20-year reunion tour--still making it dirty!
3. Frazier Chorus: Cloud 8
Best known for their song Dream Kitchen, Broudie produced their second album.
4. Northside: Take 5
Before it was a candy bar, Broudie produced this Madchester proto-BritPop song.
5. Ian Broudie: Song For No One
Despite play on the OC, the album Broudie put out under his own name in 2004 didn't get the attention it deserved. He still sounds pretty good, even just sitting in a record store.
