Why is this something that it appears only BYU players do? I literally have not heard of any other school that has kids
leave early just to play in Europe. I'm sure there are some other kids that have done it but it seems like we are the only school/fanbase that has this mindset. I get the "older age" discussion but for a kid like Bryant that didn't serve a mission this isn't really valid. You have a better chance of being on the NBA's radar by sticking around for your senior year than by ditching out for a year in Europe.

The arguments about getting injured your senior year and missing out on money, older age, or whatever else just doesn't add up. If playing in Europe is better than college then why do the best European players come to American universities and not just play in their home leagues? Yes, there are a few that do that but they are one year players that are only needing the one year removed from HS NBA requirement, kids that are destined for the NBA (ie. Dirk, Porzingis, next year's Doncic, etc.) and are rare talents.

If your plan is to play in the NBA then I don't understand the fascination with playing in Europe.
