I wish some of my classes at BYU were like that. I spent hundreds of dollars
on books for one history course. We were graded on a term paper, mid-term, and final. Both the mid-term and final consisted of essays. The topics of these essays were pulled from any book on the reading list, lecture, or film. All in all, we were expected to read several thousand pages and probably 30 or so hours of film.
