Kirby sat out most of spring with a knee injury
The depth should be solid on the Dline this year, which should help the defense.
Pau'u is back to his sophomore year weight, which should help him return to that form. Folau showed a lot of improvement and potential to be Pau'u's heir apparent. The 2 deep linebackers are almost all seniors and getting Hadley back will help the depth.
The shuffle in the defensive backfield is the most interesting change to watch. Will the corners be good enough to keep Dayan and Warner at safety?

Any defense is going to struggle with the most basic scheme in college football (also in high school and junior high).
