...pass and just let the DB make the pick inside the red zone in a game. He had opportunities to play, he just wasn't very good. I think it's an indicator how this staff values speed and athleticism but you have to be able to back it up with some "dawg" and with some smarts and ability. Tanner was certainly fast but not sure what else he brought to the table. I think even athletic guys like Micah Hanneman found out you can't just be wreckless and stupid on the field, you gotta bring something more to the table besides speed (but it will get you an opportunity to prove yourself).
