Those teams were really good at slinging the ball around. John and Max were much better reading the defense and throwing accurate passes.

He became injured so much because he ran. And why did he run, because he wasn't comfortable staying in the pocket and relied on his strength, speed and running the ball. Would have been great, but not undefeated.

Another point is that he also likely would not have lasted the season. His reckless style led to many season ending injuries.
