Sorry if my post sounded sarcastic or challenging to you...didn’t mean to be. Just wanted to understand why most of your posts seem to point to this kid going to Western Kentucky as a reason BYU shouldn’t recruit him. Totally agree with you that BYU not signing this kid shouldn’t lead to them being fired or the hot seat or anything like that. All we should care about are results on the court...results which are affected by recruiting strategy and the retention and development of players we bring into the program.
In this particular case, I just think that a 6’10” kid that can protect the rim is more valuable to our team and worthy of a scholarship than any forward recruit standing 6’7-6’10 who doesn’t have the size or length to protect the rim and can’t stretch the floor on offense. I put Shaw, Andrus (although maybe he can shoot?), Lee, and Worthington in that category. Just think this kid has more physical tools and gifts to work with than those other guys.
