Afterwards. It just became fashionable to hate on it. To me it snowballed and became an overreaction.

The movie didn’t do itself favors with the flying leia scene which was historically atrocious and I wasn’t in love with Roses character.

But outside of a few mistakes...I really liked it. Snokes and Luke’s death were both so surprising and unexpected and heart pounding. Just excellent cinema experience imo. I liked TFA too. I liked rogue 1 and solo. I tried so hard to forgive the prequels and give them second chances but they just suffered from some bad acting and lackluster storytelling. So I just love the new star wars stuff compared to how brutally let down I was with phantom menace etc. give me Rey and kylo over padme and anakin all day. Just better acting... goes a long way.

But if you can provide a post or evidence within 24-48 hours of the release of you panning it I’d be impressed. Most people liked it initially from what I saw.
