I actually don't think that PAC12 has made many business mistakes
They are simply a victim of their own demographic. There aren't many rabid PAC12 fans, which translates to fewer eyeballs and less traveling fans. They are what they are. The PAC12 also doesn't have a growing population footprint compared to other conferences.
Yes, their regional network has been underwhelming, but it does make revenue — it just will never be as much as Big10, SEC, etc.
