You should consider Istanbul. It’s got tons of history, cheap, great food
Lots of interesting culture.
I’ve been twice in the past couple years for work. I wouldn’t hesitate to take my kids there.
The Turkish lira is 4.5-1 against the dollar and a nice hotel in a good neighborhood can be had for 150/night or even less.
