More schools go to the Ute Shoot..
It's been my experience that most schools pick the Ute Shoot over BYU's team camps.

1) It's easier for teams up north to get too.
2) Better competition (Bingham, East, Herriman don't do BYU's camp)
3) It costs less.. $350 vs $450 a team. BYU wants $450 for the lineman competition, its $150 at Utah.

I can't speak for the 7on7 since my boys are lineman... but for the past decade, the 'Hammer' has been the goal of every 'big man' i know.

Also, team camps are not the place to go if you want 'access to the coaches'. That's what the individual padded camps are for.

IMHO BYU's individual varsity camps are 100x better than Utah's 'elite' camp. (Tip: you don't have to sign up for the full week and pay $400ish. You can just show up any day you want during the camp for ~$50).
