It's almost like on field results just don't matter anymore... my OP still stands and you just proved it. And another thing... you go find a new team. I want my team back... I want the 80's program back, that allowed for all the fluff you just rattled off... that built the program to a point where Nike would even be interested in us. We haven't had a sell out of the stadium in years... we are currently in the longest drought of not finishing in the top 25 since pre-Lavell. Our merchandise sales... are ridiculously bad. So who honestly cares that we have Nike?

Nothing we are doing on the field today, will do anything for the program in the future. What happened on the field in the 80's... is what we are living off now.
