Beating top teams and beating rival >>> winning a chump conf championship
At least this is my experience from HS. We won a conf championship and got a trophy. But the moments the players and fans remember is beating our blood rival and knocking off two top five teams.
Just my POV as an ex-player. Beating chumpy teams in our league wasn’t ever fun. Playing and beating some of the big boys—that was awesome.
