genuinely good man, same with KS. Holmoe might be doing the best he can. KS too. Doesn't mean either one is special or good at their jobs. We have some unique challenges that are difficult to fix without changing what BYU fundamentally is. Better coaches would almost certainly help. However, there's a pretty shallow pool of BYU qualified coaches (e.g., somehow Bronco's awkwardness doesn't seem quite as intolerable anymore...). I'm not sure all the money in the world would fix the problems we're having. And to be honest, I can't really fault the brethren for not pouring money into BYU athletics. Why should they? And again, I don't think it'd fix the problem.
And please don't find another team. More than anything, that's what will destroy BYU. I'd encourage you to make your game attendance about more than the outcome of the game. My kids have enjoyed many seconds of BYU sports even though there have been many fewer wins. This past year after one of the games my 11-year-old daughter (the only child I took to the game) looked at me and said, "Dad, this was one of the funnest nights I've ever had. Thank you so much for taking me to the game, explaining to me again how everything works, and spending time with me." That. Was. Priceless. And we lost. Provided some much needed perspective to me.
