Crowton went 12-2 in '01 with Lavell's guys. I'm not sure Ken would have run his same offense at BYU, but I get that Jamal and Taysom running it would have been fun, had they been able to implement it. I'm not sure it'd have been that tough given what Bronco / Anae were running, but it's tough to assume we'd have been within 8 points running a different system. We got that close running a completely different offense. Apples to oranges.

In hindsight, with reports of lack of discipline in the program, I look longingly back at Ken's candidacy. We'll see how KS does this year. Crowton went 5-7 in '02 (kind of like KS' drop off). Unfortunately he then went 4-8 and 5-6 before being asked to leave. Hopefully KS rebounds.
