CA state taxes are really high. TX does not have a state tax. So that's another HUGE consideration.
I know that players pay taxes to all states in which they play. But when you're playing 41 of your home games in one spot, being exempt from state taxes on half of your income is huge.

When 190 is only 95 after taxes, suddenly that extra 30 means a whole lot. Ask Carmelo how important that extra 30 is.
