If you spend any amount of time in Texas you’ll see why that is. Do you see the Utah flag hanging throughout a grocery
Store in Utah? I was at a Walmart last night, and Texas flags are hanging throughout the store. This is the same at pretty much most grocery stores. Why would a grocery store feel the need to hand Texas flags throughout the store?
Here in Texas, kids pledge their allegiance to the US flag, and then to the Texas flag.
People have the flag on their cars, they fly it in front of their homes, they wear Texas flag shirts.
I wouldn’t consider it insecurity at all - Texans are extremely proud if their state, and they show it off. Is it over the top? You bet it is. Is it necessary? Heck no.
