There were a couple of guys definitely in an offside position when the ball was kicked through the penalty area.

The guy who played the ball was onside. He kicked the call backward to one of the guys who had been offside originally.

As far as I could see, there was no second defender between the scorer and the goal when the ball was kicked back in.

Why was he considered onside?
