...Bronco’s 3-3-5 defense stunk his first few years at BYU and we gave up nearly 30 pts a game. He could’ve remained rigid and fixed in his mind with a determined resolution that they would not be subjected to Play in a different scheme and continued to hold course. Fortunately he was flexible enough to look situationally at the talent he had and go in another direction.
I don’t think anyone would disagree that most times it’s not good to start a true freshman QB but sometimes you get a unique individual who breaks the mold and doesn’t conform to tradition.
