He "might" have been the best QB last year, but if he didn't get any better and
the others did in spring then it makes sense. He was marginally better than Mangum or Critchlow if at all, and if they improved than it wouldn't be that surprising that they passed him up.
Just watched the Wisconsin, Utah and Utah State Snap2Tackle videos, IMO Tanner looked much better against Utah than Beau did against the other two.
