Your loss to UMASS in your analysis will give BYU a 5-7 record....
.. because if they lose to UMASS, they'll likely lose to another one of the 6 cupcakes (USU, NIL, McNst, UMASS (you give this a loss), NMSU, Hawaii).
If BYU loses to UMASS I'd expect them to lose to USU or NIL.
