Shows a clear trend in recruiting that can only be blamed on byu not being p5. If you group together all p5 teams, byu sits at the very bottom, and that is data going back 7 or 8 years, it cannot be blamed on last year.
Again... We are like an NFL team that gets the worst draft in the league year after year after year---you do that in the NFL and you will always be a loser, in the end its about talent and difference makers. We will not consistently be a top 40 team unless we radically change our recruiting performance. The trend has clearly shown that since indy, byu can't recruit.
We could have success as a top g5 team with the talent we get. We may get lucky one year and get up to about 40th in computer rankings... That would really be outperforming our recruiting rank. But I don't see us ever being a ranked top 25 team again, if we stay indy. With our outmatched schedule we will always have 3 or 4 losses.
