During the movie they talked about the movie 'Birth of a Nation', which I haven't seen but understand encouraged the resurgence of the KKK at a time when it had mostly lost favor in the South. The talked about Woodrow Wilson praising the movie, yet forgot to tell us that Wilson was a Progressive Democrat. NBD, but throughout the movie, whenever they showed the White Supremacists, they also made sure to linger on posters or signs pushing gun rights or loving America or reelecting President Nixon, almost as if those causes or politicians were/are endorsing the White Supremacy movement.

At the very end of the movie, as an epilogue, they included footage of the White Supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia with the guy who drove into the crowd, killing the protestor. Then they tossed in cherry-picked clips of Trump seeking to endorse or explain away what had happened. That last part had absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the movie, it was pure Spike Lee Propaganda showing his hatred for the political Right.
