First, thank you to everyone who posted. I never expected that in the middle of the night.
I don't have any significant updates but I'm sitting on pins and needles so I will post some here to help pass the time.
She never regained consciousness and so they have cooled her body to 32C and that will be for 24 hours. Her heart is beating at half capacity but her vitals are all normal and she does move her arms. Head CT shows no bleeds, chest CT shows no lung clots. She has fluid in her lungs and will be treated for pneumonia as well. They are doing an EEG? and an Echo, and sometime today neurological tests. They are monitoring her brain function.
8 years ago yesterday her mom died of cancer, same day at a very young 52 after a 10 year battle. Also Jessica is from New York. She was working in the Empire State Building on 9/11 and knew many many people who went through that including herself. Those are the two most traumatic moments in her life and they still haunt her. Today is 9/11.
She has a genetic condition called Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome where out of nowhere your heart will send itself mixed signals and beat erratically. She had ablation surgery 5 years ago but I don't think it fixed it. Her cousin has the same condition.
Today is a critical day for her, the first 24 hours and if I didn't need a final kick to the groin she lost her job last month and with it her health insurance but obviously that's not my concern right now it just really really sucks.
Again thank you everyone for your wishes. I don't post things like this on FB or anywhere else. CB is a special community and I appreciate the people here a great deal.
