Regarding health insurance, she should be eligible for COBRA (which is keeping
the same benefits she had - but you also have to pay what the employer paid). By law, you have 60 days to sign up for COBRA from the time you receive the info in the mail. The COBRA can be retroactive to the first day she wasn't covered. I would look into this as all this should be able to be covered by that insurance if you can sign up.
