I used to think sprints, and conditioning as punishment is what’s needed to fix
This kind of issue. I’m starting to think players have to lose playing time, which as a coach can be hard. How can you take a star athlete off the field if you need them? Takes guts to do this but gets the message across “our way or the highway”.
Better to have a worse athlete in a position to make a play than the great athlete in the wrong spot.
