Why?? How about we're about to sign a new tv contract and the more eyeballs and clicks we generate this season the
more leverage we'll have at the negotiating table? How about recruits want to come to programs that win?
How about fans will buy more tickets and gear.
How about donors will donate more money.
How about the more we win the better chance we have at getting into a P5 conference when conference alignment happens in a couple of years?
The idea that a win against Washington (a top 10 team) doesn't matter is intellectually bankrupt.
