The way I see it, that’s a loser mentality. Anyone who wants to manipulate the schedule to advantageously have an inflated record because that = something to play for probably isn’t wired for big time college athletics in the first place.

If all of the preparation, sacrifice and pride for what you play for doesn’t motivate you - if that’s not something to play for as a player - then you’ve already lost.
