Eventually going to lead to a good defense? Cause right now I'm struggling to see it.
Can you imagine being an opposing coach and watching game film? Do you keep your own players from watching film so they don't get over confident?
I mean, really, here's the game plan. On passing plays, you tell your QB to just sit in the pocket till somebody is wide open. Generally this will only be about two to three seconds, maybe less, but if it takes longer, don't sweat it. You've got all day. And on running plays just go around the edge. Their DEs are terrible and their DBs can't tackle. There's one or two LBs to worry about blocking, but that's it.
And on defense, we're just gonna stack the box. Not that we really need to as their ability to run block has vanished, but just because we can. Their QB rarely tries to throw more than 20 yards down field and on the rare times he does he's either inaccurate or they drop it.
This team could shock us all and magically start caring and trying again, but it sure looks a lot like last season right now. Which is to say the team has already quit. Quitting reflects leadership and this team has none for the second year in a row, end of story.
