I only watched until the game became unwatchable, which didn't take all that long. That said, what I witnessed was a CSU defense that didn't stop anything on the first drive, but became somewhat solid against the run, only to get picked apart by the passing game. It looked like Tuiaki at his most vanilla. Rypien sat back with plenty of time as CSU failed to make him the least bit uncomfortable. Even when Boise was stuffed and faced 3rd and longs, BSU completed pin-point passes, marched down the field, and scored.
I wasn't overly impressed with the Boise OL, which is usually solid. Rypien has proven this year he'll do some dumb things. But from what I've seen, playing it safe will result in a Jake Browning-2.0-like performance. Or a Rypien-like performance from last year.
Tuiaki has made something of a career, during his tenure as DC, of handing opposing QBs career days. I liked what we saw vs. a capable Hawaii passing offense. Let's hope the trend has ebbed and we get after Rypien in a couple weeks.
