In the past, they have explicitly NOT been looking for international players. The only recent shift is that they are more open to the idea. You don't need a whole roster of them, but I think with BYU's recruiting challenges, international should be a fruitful place to snag a player or two to complement the local talent. Many times the international players would be willing to abide the honor code for a chance to play D1 in the U.S.
