That's the reason a lot of teams are going more International. Their local areas aren't producing enough good players year in, year out anymore due to demographics. Stanford was good when Mark Madsen, Tim Young, guys like that were coming out of local high schools every year. Cal was best when Oakland was feeding them players, but Oakland's lost 25% of its black population in the last decade for instance.
I personally love Saint Mary's Aussie/New Zealand pipeline, but they probably need to cool a bit if they want to be really elite. They always seem like they are 2 really athletic players away from that point. That pipeline seems good for size and skill, but guys that seem more stuck to the floor.
