I am all in BYU, but even as a Cougar fan this line below does not make sense.  BYU is not this national power or have this massive national following outside of its members.  Despite what we want to believe BYU is known but so is Utah and it is very comparable to Utah being slightly ahead given more recent success.  The NC in 1984 was fantastic, but that was a LONG time ago.....even 1996 was a long time ago.  Utah is now a P5 playing in a real conference and we have late night Friday/Saturday games playing uninteresting teams, they have had New Years Day bowl games.

This may have worked years ago, but we aren't in the 80's or 90's any longer.

There is a HUGE gap in tradion. BYU has it, U does not."
