What about ND, Stanford, USC....and the list that goes on and on?
I know Oregon is public, point is the same that both private and public schools have massive donors.
This is very common practice. The "x practice" facility, "y hall", "z practice field" etc.
Privates instituations can do what they want and often times have more flexibility vs the public universities.
I think you are misinformed on your information.
