I’m saying that on the national stage Utah is not a powerhouse team. They are not a team that is feared or seen as a threat or even known East of the Rockies.

Seriously, I’m so glad I don’t live in Utah because this is a classic case of where the bubble is very much real. Utah media talks about Utah as if they are unbeatable but that’s only because BYU can’t beat them. The thought that Utah is some great team only works in Utah because in the small world of Utah CFB they’ve reigned supreme.

I can’t stand losing to the Utes, but I also don’t measure BYU’s success solely on beating BYU. Unfortunately that’s the only measuring stick people in Utah care about.
